I loved seeing my first stretch of sun today after [redacted] days of grey NYC. Twitter says 9 days - but also maybe 15 - and that 18 of the last 20 days have been without sun. The New York Post says 11 days after concurring with a Fox Weather meteorologist, but one of their top stories of the day is โNose picking is likely โpartiallyโ to blame for Alzheimerโs disease: Scientistsโ so I rest my case.
While I stay dreaming of a tropical vacation, I have recently noticed a new era for New Yorkersโ outerwear. Much to the embarrassment of my frequent walking companion/boyfriend, I have taken it upon myself to document the best of the best in street style (sometimes sneakily, sometimes not). In the name of work wife and the pursuit of fashion, I bring you some of the best coats Iโve seen recently:

And if you need something else to get you through our grey period:
+ Something weird is happening at Court Street Bagels, which is recently under new management. However, the new owners are claiming they are related to the beloved previous owner presumably to keep the devoted clientele - the sleuths of Reddit have already debunked this, and the whole situation continues to get more and more bizarre. New York Magazine just called it a "Brooklyn Bagel Mysteryโ and Eater just did a deep dive as well so the saga continues!
+ If you are in need of comfort food diner-style, my mom and I just stumbled into Cobble Hill Coffee Shop - affordable, clean, and unlimited coffee, which in my opinion is the trifecta for diner perfection
+ The crossing guard outside of Park Slopeโs PS 282 just turned 90 years old! In recognition of her birthday and her 45 (!!) years of service, the NYPD Chief of Patrol brought her flowers ๐ฅน ๐ฅน
+ From Here to Sunday - Sweet little card and gift shop on the border of Gowanus and Park Slope, with plenty of fun knick-knacks under $15
+ I have been loving True Detective although it is far too spooky to watch alone, as well as Masters of the Air , although in regards to Austin Butler, letโs just say Elvis has unfortunately still not left the building
+ And finally, some beautiful shots from the New York City Ballet, where I saw my first ever sneaker ballet and then enjoyed a special art installation with a DJ set
reading during lunch...i took a photo of a girl who had the cutest layering situation going on yesterday so you're not alone
